But but but, dogleg?

I definitely like where it's going and appreciate the dogleg, but I feel like it busies up the center of the image. Have you considered moving reverse around to where 6th is to clean it up?

I'd be inclined to make the JB bolder to match the thickness oh the H, otherwise I dig it very much!

I agree. Put it below 6th. Most cars are that way anyways, even though the dogleg makes more sense.

Maybe grey out the 1, 2, 3, & 4?
I think because of those, the shift pattern overpowered the letter "H," which I didn't see until I realized it was you.

Dogleg?
This is dogleg:

Based on my understanding, both have a dog leg reverse gear. A dog leg close ratio six allows for easy transition from 3-4, while a dog leg five allows for easy transition from 2-3—in both cases, the gears most commonly shifted between while on the track (provided the transmissions have been designed to take advantage of the dogleg configuration properly). Perhaps I have been misinformed?

I like it.

The way I learned it was that first was always off to the side. I don't think the placement of reverse has anything to do with it. I could be mistaken as well. Here is the wiki on it. A GIS seems to back this up.

According to Wikipedi:
A Dog-Leg Gearbox is a manual transmission shift pattern distinguished by an up-over-up shift between first and second gear.
The location of the reverse gear has nothing to do with whether it is a dog-leg transmission or not. Having reverse up and to the left is common in German cars (in this case a BMW, which is what JBH owns).

I agree. Other than that it looks great.
